This week I have been working feverishly to prepare for a holiday art show/sale I will be hosting in a few weeks, alongside my lovely friend, artist Marla Fry. It is a treat to be able to do this with a dear friend who has been such a huge inspiration to me. I highly recommend you check out her beautifully painted recycled windows.
I have been using some odds and ends that I have been collecting for the past few years....lots and lots of recycled vintage items like buttons, ornaments, earrings and brooches.

I have been using old Ball jars to create some sweet little gifts for the show. Here's a few sneaks at the finished product:)

I am making a few other items as well, but I thought it might be fun to do a step-by-step on how to use old, vintage items to create your own special gift for the ones you love.

Step One:
Make something beautiful from your heart.
Step Two:
Make lots and lots and lots of love.
Step Three:
Make one ginormous mess to clean up much later. Much, much later. After tea and cookies and a long phone call with a very dear friend.
Step Four:
Find one, lost, discarded or forgotten object in which to place all of your love.
Step Five:
Place your love into found object.

Step Six:
Watch your love grow......

Because beautiful things grow with Love.......
